Outplacement for individuals
PowerTransitions Individual Programs are provided at four levels: Individual
Contributor, Professional/Manager, Senior Manager, and Key Executive. We do not
place time limits on our individual programs, and are committed to working with
candidates until they obtain a position, start a business, or leave the job
market. All of our individual programs come with the additional option of
office space, voicemail services, and administrative services.
1) Individual Contributor
The Individual Contributor program combines a three-day workshop with ongoing
job-search campaign management. Services includes assistance with career
assessment, resume preparation, market research, recruiter and networking
leads, interview coaching, and negotiation and decision-making support.
2) Professional/Manager
Our Professional/Manager program targets displaced senior professionals and
mid-level managers. It combines a three-day workshop with intensive one-on-one
coaching and training to create a customized approach for career search
management. Special services include interview coaching using video.
3) Senior Manager
The Senior Manager program is designed for Senior Managers and Executives, and
provides a unique career search marketing program that allows the candidate to
fully leverage his or her professional achievements. The candidate works with a
Campaign Manager from PowerTransitions' senior staff, and receives extensive
support from our research, communications, and career assessment professionals.
PowerTransitions' staff participates in strategizing, developing, and executing
the career search campaign.
4) Key Executive
This program is designed to support our client companies in their most sensitive
and high profile executive transitions. The Key Executive Program is a unique,
full-service, customized marketing program that differs significantly from
traditional outplacement. An executive is assigned a Campaign Team consisting
of a Managing Director and Principal Consultant of the firm, with additional
support from our senior staff. Members of the PowerTransitions staff
participate pro-actively in developing and implementing a job search campaign
including writing marketing materials, making contacts and providing job leads
with recruiters and companies on the candidate's behalf. The candidate is also
provided with a full range of administrative services and resources for a year,
including office space, mail and Internet services, printing and copying, and
voicemail.
PowerTransitions Workshops
What can be learned in a workshop?
Our Two-Day or Three-Day Workshop programs provide down-to-earth advice on
self-assessment, self-marketing, resume development, job search strategy,
interviewing, and compensation negotiation. We take a pragmatic, real-world
approach to what can often be an alienating process.
In what locations are workshops offered?
Workshops can be offered on-site in client locations or in one of our
Northern California offices. Workshops can be provided in conjunction
with an On-Site Career Center, which we staff with experienced professionals to
offer ongoing services during the transition or plant closing process.
Are there follow-up programs for workshop participants?
Another option is to provide individual Follow-up Services to workshop
participants after the layoff. These services can include resume editing,
career counseling, job development, and communications coaching. The amount of
follow-up services can be customized to meet a client's strategic or budgetary
needs.
